Floating therapy offers a unique experience where you float in saltwater, reducing stress, enhancing relaxation, and promoting mental clarity through sensory deprivation.

Float therapy, also known as sensory deprivation, involves floating in a pod filled with 1000+ pounds of Epsom salt dissolved in water maintained at skin temperature (~93.5°F). This creates a zero-gravity environment where distractions from light, sound, and physical sensations fade, allowing deep relaxation. Clients control the pod’s canopy (open, closed, or partially open), ambient lighting, and music duration, ensuring a personalized experience.

FLOATING THERAPY

Fire and Ice therapy combines alternating hot and cold treatments to stimulate blood flow, reduce muscle soreness, and accelerate recovery by encouraging circulation and healing.

Combines the penetrating heat of an infrared sauna with the invigorating chill of a cold plunge. Clients alternate between the sauna (to relax and detoxify) and the cold plunge (2.5 minutes optimal) to stimulate circulation, reduce inflammation, and boost adrenaline and endorphins. This contrast bath experience accelerates recovery and rejuvenates the body.

It's a great place to experience sensory deprivation. Only thing I can think of that they can improve is the temperature. The temperature is good for the first half of the session. But it becomes hotter than it should be in second half

This place offered cutting edge technology for your overall health and well-being. Since I started floating over there, I can feel my body and mind have improved. I experienced a peaceful feeling and a short lucid dreaming. Also, the full spectrum sauna makes me lose 2 lbs after a week of regularly using it. Overall, I benefited from the service and highly recommend this place to everyone.

I have been to another float center and I felt this place has more updated pods and cleaner. If I had more money I would do this once a week. I’m a single dad and work a lot. A hour of peace and healing is well worth the money.

I've been many times to balance float, I love it! The staff is friendly and chill, the facilities are clean and well designed. I've tried their new infrared sauna and cold plunge. It's a bit hacky, feels like it's still a bit raw and under construction, but the set up is effective and the experience is pretty great to do a body reset. I trust it's a WIP. I'll continue to patronize Balance Float.

Love it. It's very clean. Everything you need is provided. Just walk in and relax. Helped tremendously with my sciatica.

Excellent float facility. Clean , courteous, and chill. Is that "the 3Cs"? I generally do 30 minutes of neurofeedback meditation followed by 60 minutes of float meditation. I flex out my muscles and tissues for the first 10 minutes then allow myself to relax to meditate , imagine, or simply relax.

This is the best Flotation Tank facility that i have ever been in!

If you haven't tried floating yet, it's a must do, it has tons of benefits ranging from relaxing muscles and body healing, all the way to mental and spiritual clarity.
The flotation tanks feel like you're going into a space pad. They have dedicated showers in the same room as the flotation tank, which is super-convenient. In addition, there's speakers and light in the tank, in case you wanted to play your favorite tunes while floating!

During floating so much healing happens to my body, I gain so much clarity on what's happening in my life and solutions, muscles super-relaxed, negative emotions released, deep meditation experiences, heightened senses, tuning in to present moment, time ceases to exist where 30 min can feel like a few minutes, and much more.

If you're looking for the next-level experience, try full IR sauna + floating. The sauna is super-detoxing, feels amazing and the floating only compounds the effect.

They also have neurofeedback training, which is basically music played dynamically while tracking your brainwaves real-time, played in a way to optimize left and right brain hemispheres and optimize cognitive function and focus. Definitely helps with focus.

And best of all, they offer an Unlimited package where you can do ALL of these three services, even daily if you wanted, at only $399. While this may not be available for too long, this is a phenomenal deal, such a small price for the benefits that consistent floating, IR sauna and neurofeedback training can bring.

I’ve been to a bunch of floating places around the Northwest and Balance Float is by far my favorite. The showers are super nice, the temperature is always steady, and everything is super clean and organized. I drive 45 mins to go here because it’s so nice! And the most affordable place I’ve found in the area

Awesome float center with 5 float pods, Neurofeedback, & Sauna facilities. Float pods have options to select your personal light from a hue chart of colors, about 8 different awesome music tracks, and the option to plug in your phone which I used to learn Japanese while floating. The unlimited pass which gives you access to all three of these was (while expensive for me) SO WORTH IT!! My overall health and well being has greatly improved. Thanks Andrew and staff!

I felt better walking out of here than I do after getting a massage.  I like these pods because not only can you control the lights but there is a button for turning on music.  I love it's proximity to home and the price makes me happy.  I can see myself returning here.

This was my first time doing any type of sauna and cold plunge. SoliVana’s Fire &. Ice experience was amazing! It relieved some aches I had and gave me one of the best nights sleep in a long time.

Gain solace. The effects permeate long after the float. If you haven't tried it, give it a go. This place is moderately priced, and clean.

I am on my 6th float... it is awesome!!! It really relieves my chronic back pain and general muscle stiffness . Extremely clean and sanitary.

My first float tank experience was refreshingly awesome. Facility and tanks were immaculate. Didn't know what to expect but staff made me feel very comfortable. I had such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience at SoliVana Wellness Spa! I tried the Halotherapy Salt Room, Red Light Therapy, and Float Therapy

I especially loved the salt room, it wasn’t heated, which I really appreciated, and I noticed it helped clear up my allergies.

The Red Light Therapy left me feeling energized, and the Float Therapy was such a cool, calming experience. I actually fell asleep mid-session!

The space is super clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe is peaceful and inviting. You can tell they’ve really curated the space to be a sanctuary for the overstimulated. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a wellness reset in the Bay Area!

It was very pleasant sanctuary to unwind and rebalance myself. I came here with a girlfriend who needed some unwinding before she starts her full time job, it was a great place for bonding and decompression. We tried the float and it was my first time experiencing the float tank. They put Epsom salt and that is healing for my joints. We also did the halo-therapy which was great as it was nice to feel the salts underneath my toes, that was grounding. Lastly, we did the red light therapy which was nice to help with my circadium rhythm for sleep. I've had trouble sleeping and that night I fell asleep smoothly. The service was super attentive and informative with healing frequencies. I would definitely go back here again!

This is the best kept secret in Redwood City...for now. Not a local to this area but had been dealing with some cramping and general discomfort/inflammation and had SoliVana recommended to me by a friend and it was one of the best recommendations as far as self care goes. I went in with the intention of quickly going in for a cold plunge and am so glad it comes with the infrared sauna as part of a 45 minute package (Fire and Ice). Natasha (Owner/Operator) has something truly special here because while she is a lifelong student of wellness this is her passion and it comes across from the initial interaction all the way through to the end of the experience. She is so knowledgeable and thoughtful - I recommend going when you have a bit of extra time to understand each room and what the full list of services includes. I wish I'd taken pictures but good to step away from the phone for a split second. It should be noted that SoliVana can take FSA/HSA card as payment here additionally.

Huge life hack for anyone who travels to the Bay Area for work and might be taking a red eye or more than a short flight home. I found this experience to be so relaxing and pain relieving that I slept all the way through a cross country red eye. If you're thinking about that initial session or are on the fence, I would implore that you go.

This wellness spa in a true gem close to downtown RWC! I went there for the very first time yesterday and joined a Sound Healing, Breathwork and Reiki event with Jen. What a treat! The 1 hour session took place in their Himalayan Salt Room which was the perfect setting. It's a beautiful  room with 8 comfortable chairs to relax and heal. After the event Natascha was so kind and took the time to give me a private tour of their wellness spa and explained every treatment they offer very detailed and understandable. The spa is beautifully designed, extremely clean and welcoming and I can highly recommend their service. I will be back soon. Today I finally tried float therapy — and I absolutely loved it! It was exactly what I was hoping for: total relaxation for both body and mind. You feel like you’re floating in zero gravity, accompanied by calming meditative music. The spa center is wonderful — cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and a warm, attentive staff. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind.

I recently went in and received the EMTT Magnetic therapy treatment for some elbow tendinitis.  Natasha was so helpful and it made a huge difference.  I have also done the Fire and Ice treatment for general wellness and immunity and love it.  Halotherapy is also great if you are experiencing any congestion/cold symptoms. The team at Solivana is fantastic and always so helpful. This place is fantastic, can't say enough!

This spa is beautiful and serene and offers a variety of great wellness treatments. So far I have tried the float and the PEMF and enjoyed both so much. I will definitely be back. SoliVana wellness SPA is my sanctuary. After treatment ( floating for 60 min) I feel young again, without pain ( I have chronic Lower back pain, herniated disc between L3,4,5)

I came here twice. The first time for Reiki Healing and the second time for Salt Therapy. Both were amazing experiences and I felt so calm and happy. The Salt Therapy isn't even bad and I didn't have any reactions. I want to definitely go again and just sleep in that salt room because it felt so good like I was sleeping on the beach and smelling and digesting the salt. The Reiki healing was so good and I felt like a brand new woman. Natasha is the best and I want to recommend her for Reiki healing to everyone. Update: I went to Salt Therapy again yesterday afternoon and still didn't have any reactions. I love sleeping in that room so much. What a wonderful spa. I came to do a 60-minute float therapy session. The spa was clean and quiet, and using the float chamber was very straightforward. 60 minutes later my mind and body were very relaxed. It was a very nice complement to my meditation practice, and I was pleasantly surprised how much it alleviated some muscle soreness I was experiencing from jiu jitsu training.

Natasha was very kind and walked me through some of the other services offered at the spa. Look forward to returning and trying more treatments, particularly Fire and Ice.
